A devotee raises his hands in the final prayer of Ijtema while he is admitted to the hospital. Hundreds of devotees admitted to Tongi General Hospital with complaints of diarrhoea, asthma, cold, cough and vomiting. Hospital authorities added 50 beds while around 50 medical teams work round the clock providing treatment for the devotees free of charge.
Devotees take part in the Akheri Munajat or final prayer on a flyover (overpass) during the Bishwa Ijtema. Thousands of devotees do not get accommodation at the main venue of Ijtema, but they gather in nearby areas outside the main set up.
